Nancy Hagen

Nancy Hagen is a graduate of Indiana University where she was a double major in piano and oboe. She obtained her master’s degree in music at Northwestern U, studying with Ray Still, and working extensively as an accompanist. This year, she has accompanied recitals for violinists and oboists of all ages, and played solo piano works at concerts in Oakbrook, Elmhurst and Rogers Park. Nancy played first oboe in the Park Ridge Civic Orchestra for Mahler’s first symphony and a Beethoven Violin Concerto with Rachel Barton Pine. She maintains a private piano studio in her home and is currently teaching the grandson of her beloved teacher, Mary Almjeld Veverka. Nancy is the co-founder of the AmberTrio.
