Janet Mensen Reynolds

Janet Mensen Reynolds, mezzo soprano is enjoying “retirement” after 26 years in the Lyric Opera of Chicago chorus. While in the chorus she sang numerous small roles and understudied lots of maids, moms and Walkuries. She has a private voice studio of 25 students, a dog walking business, and loves going to see her daughter perform at Northwestern. A graduate of Knox College, she still studies with Karen Brunssen. and is a frequent soloist with local orchestras. Janet and her daughter perform a concert every year entitled “Our Favorite Things” where they sing favorite songs and duets and pick a different charity every year to donate the proceeds to. She loves spending time with her four dogs and husband.
